honeymoon cemetery

gorgeous epitaphs:

beneath the waving willow
we laid her down to rest
the earth is now her pillow
the grass grows oer her breast
sleep darling sleep

death was the gate from which to life he passed
to feast on joys that will forever last

asleep in jesus, blessed sleep
from which none ever wake to weep

weep not dear parents
disturb not my rest
my saviour has called me
he loved me best

we loved these tender little ones
and would have wished them stay
but let our father's will be done
they shine in endless day

dearest loved one we have laid thee
in the peaceful grave's embrace
but thy memory we cherish... (the last line has sunk into the ground!)

with a cheery smile and a wave of the hand
he wandered into an unknown land
and left us dreaming how very fair
it needs must be since he lingers there

tis hard to break the tender cord
when love has bound the heart
tis hard so hard to speak the word
must we forever part
