For the Surrender of Self-Will to God's will
Our will compared with your will is not good but continually evil. Your will is always by far the best, the most highly cherished, and to be desired by us. Therefore, be merciful to us, dear Father, and let not anything be done according to our will. When our will is hindered our broken, teach us true patience. Grant that we may not become angry or malicious when anyone speaks or is silent, does anything or leaves anything undone against our will. Oh may we not curse, complain, cry out, judge, condemn, or protest. Help us humbly to yield or surrender our will to those who oppose and hinder us and who accomplish your divine and most blessed will in spite of us. May we praise and bless them and do good to them. Amen.
