freddy and i planned to go to a midday ash wednesday service yesterday, but i had what was possibly my first baby migraine (don't feel sorry for me, i'm a big baby (do feel sorry for me!)) and then his naps got all janked up so we stayed home.
so i decided we would do our own service, which of course didn't happen until today, thursday, at about 11a.
{horrendous mini vlog in which i read from joel 2 in a baby voice, am unbathed and freddy is caked in snot and still in his jams. is it extremely blasphemous to use cocoa powder for ashes?}

my darling dear jared suggested we limit our internet to 20mins each evening (this does not include netflix and drafting blog posts in microsoft word) (i thought that was pretty intense but then i heard about another couple at church: no screen time after kids go to bed!!).
so last night instead of him watching RonPaul2012 videos and me pinning the life out of everything, he bottled his beer and i... i went through a hoarded stack of papers and found my notes from Lent 2011 when i first thought up this series (so embarrassing)!
this will not be a daily series, but like my advent ventures i plan to share my own thoughts as well as link to the beautiful thoughts of others (poems, other posts, etc).
